An important publication, finally bringing Sergei Ivanovich Chizhov’s excellent Russian numismatic bibliography to print. Chizhov (1870–1921) studied and wrote about medieval Russian coins, and was an active member of the Moscow Numismatic Society. He was arrested by the Cheka in 1920 and died in custody, and his manuscript has remained unpublished until now.
