A numismatically illustrated collection of the poetic Fragmenta Valesiana of Roman historian Cassius Dio, edited by Adrien de Valois and based upon the earlier edition by Henri de Valois. Brückmann (1729) 144. Dekesel V24, calling for a subsequent pagination not here present: the present work is complete, however, and Dekesel’s collation is in at least one other respect incorrect for this edition. Ex Bibliotheca P.P.C. Lammens, with his engraved label bearing an ink notation, “nunc Pr. van Duyse.” Pierre-Philippe-Constant Lammens (1762–1836) was a librarian and book collector affiliated with the University of Ghent. Prudens van Duyse (1804–1859) was the archivist of the city of Ghent.
