Finely engraved title with a portrait medal of the author; 33 engraved plates depicting approximately 284 historical and portrait medals. The only edition of Snelling’s last numismatic publication, issued without text and published posthumously by his son. These plates were subsequently utilized in John Pinkerton’s 1790 Medallic History. Very scarce: the only solo copy we’ve offered in over a decade. Manville 205.
