A very scarce publication on the Portuguese morabetinos, a rare coin of the 12th and 13th centuries about which little was known until Batalha Reis’s study. Published in limited numbers, this copy was handsomely bound for bibliophile Domingos Bertrand, whose engraved bookplate it bears. Grierson 175 (“Monographie somptueuse”).
