Racine: 1946 (February 1947)–1951. First through fifth (1947–1953) editions. 12mo, original red cloth, gilt. The first edition is a second printing and is very good or so, with a cracked rear hinge and general wear, but a very presentable front cover. The second edition is very good, and the third is near fine (though the gilt is a bit weak). The fourth edition is only good, with a shaken binding, but it looks better externally. The fifth edition is foxed, and the spine cloth is frayed; good to very good. Item #6299
The first five editions of the Red Book (the first edition being the second printing). A used set, but still enjoyable to peruse and a core hobby collectible.
