Dr. Lewis Feuchtwanger (1807–1876) is best known to numismatists for his one- and three-cent tokens struck in “Feuchtwanger’s Composition.” The present volume is rather obscure and entirely non-numismatic, but provides an interesting look at a mostly forgotten aspect of this multifaceted scientist. Rare. Ex Q. David Bowers Library.
