Dated 3 September 1845. On double-sheet stationary [20 by 25 cm] of Danforth, Bald, Spencer & Huffy, but with “Bald” struck out in most instances. Folded into a stampless cover with a New York postmark dated 3 September 1845 for 5 cents. Generally fine and preserved within a custom-made acid-free folder with a Mylar sleeve. Item #5549
