HALL COLLECTION OF UNITED STATES CENTS. Burdette G. Johnson.
HALL COLLECTION OF UNITED STATES CENTS.

HALL COLLECTION OF UNITED STATES CENTS.

St. Louis: c. 1940. Original typewritten carbon copy on 8.5 by 11 inch onionskin paper. 13 leaves, followed by 4 handwritten pages arranging the typewritten inventory in tabular format on ledger paper. Fine. Item #5340

Dr. Thomas Hall’s collection of United States large cents was purchased by Virgil Brand after Hall’s death in 1909, along with the rest of his collection. The present inventory is an original carbon copy of the typewritten inventory prepared when the coins were consigned by Armin Brand to B.G. Johnson. While not a complete inventory of the Hall collection as it existed at the time of his death (some coins having been sold in the intervening years), it remains an important record of a notable collection that was never recorded for posterity in a publically available format such as an auction catalogue or other publication. Ex Burdette G. Johnson Estate; ex Eric P. Newman Library.

Price: $450.00
