Amiens: dÈcembre 1917. CinquiËme edition. 8vo, original printed wraps. 78, (2) pages. Wrinkled and a bit spotted; very good or so. Item #4080
A highly interesting catalogue of paper money issues emitted by localities during the First World War, published while the war was still raging. While denoted as the fifth edition, Forbinís catalogues are quite rare: indeed, this would appear to be the first we have handled of any edition. After the war, according to McKerchar, Forbin published a more complete guide covering 1914-20, with a supplement issued in 1922.
