A complete first edition set of the classic work on Arabian horses, their breeding and bloodlines, and their pedigrees. Issued in limited numbers, with Volume 3 printed to an extent of only 250 copies, establishing the maximum number of complete sets. Raswan devoted his life to the study of Arabian horses and their lineages, living with Bedouin tribes in order to compile extensive written records of their oral tradition. The Raswan Index compresses an extraordinary amount of information into seven volumes, recording bloodlines and providing detailed information on Blunt, Davenport and Ali Pasha Sharif Arabians, and other related topics. A core reference. The bindings were inexpensively produced, and many volumes today show the signs of wear present on a couple of the volumes of the present offering.
